California high school water polo is two regions, NorCal and SoCal, and each crowns a boys and a girls champion; there is no single state title. Three are settled in the fall, SoCal’s girls in winter. Every varsity pool, every score, the whole season: pick a side of the line.

True geography. Every dot is on its real projected coordinate. 81 sit on the campus itself, 460 at the school’s street address (interpolated along the block, so the front gate rather than the pool) and 112 resolve only to a nearby street or a ZIP code centroid and are marked approximate on hover, up to a few miles out.
Seeded from MaxPreps: every school it lists with a 2025–26 varsity schedule: 650 of the 1,729 California schools it covers, 38%. Whether MaxPreps itself misses a program is not something we can measure. Not yet reconciled against official CIF records, and JV is not covered yet. The state total counts each game once; 177 were played across the NorCal/SoCal line and appear on both regions’ schedules, so the two regions’ figures add up to more.
